The goals of genSET are recognised as important to European science through the patronage of leading pan-European institutions. Their aim is to signal to the science community that the gender dimension is an important issue for scientific value. Patrons demonstrate their commitment to this principle through their influence at strategic and policy levels. Patrons play a key role in promoting the outcomes of the Consensus Seminars, in particular the implementation of the Consensus Recommendations for Action on the Gender Dimension in Science, as well as the Valorisation Symposia and the Final Conference.
