genSET began with three Consensus Seminars that brought together a panel of 14 European science leaders and several gender experts to put forward recommendations for action on gender in scientific institutions.  The Consensus Report from these Seminars is disseminated across Europe.

These recommendations feed into three Capacity Building Workshops that bring together stakeholder institutions and gender experts to create effective gender mainstreaming plans.  The workshops focus on the gender dimension in one of three capacity building themes: research quality (Sweden); assessment of work (Greece); and recruitment and retention (Austria).

Parallel with this, the genSET Valorisation Symposia bring together the stakeholders and policy makers within Ireland and Poland to discuss the specific context of the gender dimension within these countries.  This form of dissemination will culminate in the Final genSET Conference, happening in late 2011.
