Two countries have been selected for valorisation activities, Poland and Ireland. The two meetings will focus on country-specific issues and involve local agents in discussion and activities to help them devise and implement gender-mainstreaming activities at national level.
Poland -Research Excellence and Gender

One-day event for representatives of research institutions, academia and government to discuss how gender issues impact on research excellence in the context of scientific system in Poland, and collaborative opportunities with science institutions in Europe. The event will include multi-stakeholder, round-table discussions and SWOT analysis to identify and clarify the strengths and weaknesses of circumstance for gender mainstreaming in Poland.
Ireland - The Role of Gender in Scientific Enterprise
Dublin, 5th November 2010
One-day event for representatives of research institutions, academia, government and Civil Society to discuss how gender issues impact on research excellence in the context of scientific system in Ireland, and on opportunities for collaboration with science institutions in Europe. Members of the genSET Science Leaders Panel, and of the Stakeholder Network, will share their views and experience of the implementation of the Recommendations on the Gender Dimension in Science, produced during the genSET Consensus Seminars. The focus of the event will be on creating new opportunities for dialogue between science community and gender research experts to support actions to mainstream gender within and across science institutions in Ireland.
